On May 31, 1894, Lviv stepped into the future — the city's first electric tram rolled through its streets, years ahead of most European capitals. That day, the heart of this technological revolution was the depot on Vytovskoho Street. Here, at the crossroads of urban routes, a new rhythm of Lviv was born, current was generated, and the first tram cars were serviced.
Eras have passed, but this place has never lost its greatest superpower — inspiring and uniting the city. Today, the former tram depot has been revitalized into LEM Station. We preserved the historical code of the location, filling its industrial walls with new energy: creativity, events, art, and food culture at LEM Food Market.
On May 31, 2026, we celebrate the 132nd birthday of Lviv's electric tram together with the city. On this day, free trams will run to LEM Station along three routes:
- Route 1: Railway Station → Lem Square → Aquapark
- Route 2: Konovaltsia → Lem Square → Pohulianka
- Route 3: Railway Station → Lem Square → Torfiana
